Storyboard for the Xenomorph Egg dissection scene
Vorawut Srivilai (Noom), one of the Second Skin team, created the storyboard to carefully break down each cut and shot. This helped our crew plan the preparation of the skin surface, membrane layers, and slime effects to fit the different shots and tell the story in the best way, making the scene look as realistic and impactful as possible on screen.

Alien: Earth Second Skin team created the Xenomorph Embryo for the Facehugger dissection scene. We started with a 3D sculpt based on Weta’s 2D sketch (big thanks to our 3D artist Sky, then cast it in jelly skin to make it soft, flexible, and translucent enough to reveal the spine inside. Finally, added a layer of Second Skin Slime to give the embryo that wet, organic look for extra realism on screen
